Take One
Take a journey on the fame side and be a part of your own short film. Take One is an event which makes the most of everyone’s strong points be it in front of or behind the camera.
As a newly formed ‘production company' teams must write, finance, direct, produce and star in their own 3 minute movie. Everyone in your team has a job to do, whether agreeing the budget or planning the production, shooting the film or acting the roles, this is a hands on event that ends on a high with an awards ceremony previewing ‘the best bits’. Take One is also a great way to incorporate a business message into any corporate event.
What happens
Given a headline and theme, teams must script, produce and act in their 3 minute wonder. Teams must first earn funding by pitching their ideas to the bank manager. In negotiating successfully teams earn money to put their ideas into reality and can purchase costumes, props, filming equipment and sound effects. The amusing results can then be played back to the group at the end of the event or for the days activities to continue into the evening a red carpet Oscar's Awards Ceremony can be organised.
